  the jehovah's witnesses was begun by charles taze russell in 1872.

  how can you follow a man?

  a normal man started the "religion" jehovah witness.

  Russel started the Watchtower.

  Rutherford started Jehovah's Witenesses partialy to distance the group from Russell. It is all well documented. Rutherford took the whole thing over with the bible students (Russell's Group ) kicking and screaming.

  The JW's don't follow many of Russell's teachings. It just sounds good to claim Russell started JWs to hide the fragmented past. The Watchtower denouced his teachings in 1928.

  Many JWs also don't follow the prinited watchtower, but a oral code known as the "bible trained conscience". Simular to "what would Jesus do" or the talmud. This is passed by word of mouth and enforced by busy body elders and pioneers.

  Why are the publications anonymously written?

  the society would like to say this is done (except for the 'life stories') because 'all recognition' blah blah blah should go to jehovah...but what do you think are the real reasons why everything is published anonymously?.

  i'm new to the forums so i just wanted to say hi.

  kind of nervous at the moment.. i'm one of the jehovah's witness kids that is looking for the whole truth.

  i go to the meetings and have my own problems with the organization but i do believe in alot of it's beliefs.. since i got that out the way i wanted to see what other people think about the newer jehovah's witness teens.

  great post and welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I'm 36 , it's been 18 years since my teen years, i see things haven't changed much, same as when i was younger,

  I used to run a night club from the age of 22-25, you can only imagine how many witness double lives i saw.

  And by the way, what are your doubts in the organization ???

  I have learned that the watchtower is one big lie, and i think the younger generations coming up are going to figure it out faster and faster.

  a while ago it was asked what your ethnic background was and only 2 said they were some percent black.

  why do you think few black people actively speak out against wt?

  few african-americans can be seen protesting at assemblies.

  A better question is , Why have none ever been on the governing body, only mainly white Americans, til very recently. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm. I guess hats off too the african americans, obviously a lot smarter then the average white people.

  hello every body,.

  i'd like to introduce myself, i hope you will well understand me (indeed, iam a 23 yeas old french girl).. i am very happy to see that several personn has lived the seam experience has me so they are abble to understand better what i feel and who can help us to live better ans follow our way forward life(i hope you will understand what i mean).. i was born in a jw's family, and when i got 12 i begin to ask me some question and have some doubts about this ''thruth".. when i begin to have my boyfriend (not jw) i had to lie...we stayed 4 year together but i never had sexual relation because i was affraid of consequency (even if i was not baptized).

  but every times "brother and sisters" told lies to my parents, about me and about what i was doing with my boyfriend (but we never did anything).

  I stil believe that destruction is waiting for me since I leaved the orginisation,

  they scared us good, didn't they, i've been out 15 years and life has been WONDERFUL, and will continue, life is what YOU make it, not what someone else tells you to do, life is not perfect, there are hard times, but you will get through it. Enjoy your freedom from the cult.

  Remember there are 6,000,000,000 people on earth waiting to be destroyed and only 6,000,000 JW's.

  Fudging on "Field Service Report"

  when i was a jdub i used to write down whatever hours i wanted to write down.

  when i was pioneering for 7 years i would add a few hours to my time each month so that i wouldn?t fall too far behind.

  even when i wasn?t pioneering though i would inflate my hours a bit sometimes so i wouldn?t have the elders hounding me about my time and also so i could hold a ?position?.

  we all did, and it came down to keeping the elders and family off my back, heck sometimes when i left the house all dressed up, i said i was going in service, when i was really going on a job interview.

  the sad thing is, mine is still alive and i cant say it in person, thanks to the Watchtower we have no relationship at all, and she told me, you will die at Armageddon.
